Biggest Dutch delegation of startups to visit Slush 2022 in Helsinki
As part of the Netherlands’ call on all techies, disruptors and investors to fast-forward responsible tech, next week sees no less than 72 Dutch startups travelling to Slush in Helsinki. It is the biggest Dutch startup representation to date, to the world’s leading startup event.
The Netherlands goes out to Slush with a representation of the entire Dutch startup ecosystem. Joined by the four technical universities, several regional incubators, facilitators and accelerators and governmental agencies, as well as the 72 eager Dutch startups who all made ‘responsible tech’ their business. Together, they go in search of like-minded counterparts to take their tech innovations to the next level.
As soon as they set foot in Helsinki, the game is on. With networking and matchmaking events, a visit to the nearby Espoo startup hub, the final of the Dutch 4TU Impact Challenge on 16 November, and of course, the NL Lounge at the Slush expo in the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre itself, on 17 and 18 November. On a mission to fast-forward responsible tech
From software creating material bills by Circularise, to a bot named Alva invented by Aletta Solutions, who helps with clinical training, to the flashy electric microcars from Carver and AI models by Cradle that help build proteins for medicines, food and chemicals. In short: from fintech to IoT solutions, health and biotech. From fresh-out-of-school to awarded and backed by investors. The variety may be wide, but the tech innovations of these startups all have the potential, not only to improve our lives but also the way we manage our planet, its resources and the people living on it. Aligned with our international campaign Accelerate the Change, #responsibletech is therefore at the heart of our message.
Slush is the world’s leading startup event, bringing together founders, investors and executives for a curated gathering of almost 10,000 attendees in Helsinki. One of their main pillars is ‘entrepreneurship redefined’ which looks at how to connect founders with what and whom they need while building a new, inclusive and more purposeful culture of entrepreneurship.
